Wrap presents (hide them!)
Find the tape. Again.
Three layers of flakes tumble in 3D and glint in the light. Snow piles up along the top of every window you can see, and slides off in clumps when you move one.
Glass bulbs warm up and cool down like real ones, glow onto your screen, and sway in the wind. One of them is always a little broken. Of course it is.
Santa, a hungry reindeer, a gingerbread man and a little steam train turn up on their own while you work. They never get in the way of your clicks.
Light Designer
7 bulb styles, 8 color sets, 8 patterns. Every change shows up on your real menu bar right away. Try it here:
Christmasify listens to whatever your Mac is playing, any app, headphones or AirPods, and the lights move with it.
Hang them anywhere
Oh no
Somebody took the chimney too literally. His legs kick, soot puffs out, and every kick makes your trackpad tick, even when you're not touching it. Click him five times to pop him free. His sleigh takes him home, and he's back in the notch eight minutes later.
No notch? He's stuck in a little brick chimney instead.
Santa fly-bys
With real sleigh bells that pan across your speakers as he flies past. Turn sound on to hear it.
β each kick ticks the trackpad's haptic motor
Little visitors
Every so often, somebody drops by. Press a button to invite them over now.
Step away for a minute
Frost creeps in from the edges while you're away. Wipe it off with your cursor like a fogged-up window. Wiped spots slowly freeze again, and it all melts when you're back if you want it to.
From morning to midnight
After sunset, the northern lights and stars glow behind your windows. Drag the clock:
Hardware magic
Christmasify reads your MacBook's lid angle sensor. Tip the lid a little toward closed and the snow piles feel it. A gentle tap knocks a dusting off your windows, and a big quick swing sends everything tumbling down with a thump you can feel in the trackpad.
Try it: drag the screen down, or pull the slider left quickly.
Slow closing and opening do nothing, so it won't go off every time you pick up your laptop.
Dear Santa,
I have been mostly goodβ¦

Christmasify is free for your first day, with every effect turned on. If you love it, it's once to keep it. No subscription.
No. Everything is drawn in a see-through layer that your clicks go straight through. Your apps don't know it's there.
Yes, all of it. Settings has a switch for every effect, and the β in your menu bar has βPause Christmasβ for when you need a serious moment.
The lights can react to what your Mac plays, but that sound is only measured on your Mac to move the lights. It isn't recorded or sent anywhere. Christmasify only goes online to check your license and to look for updates.
To reach the lid sensor, the trackpad's haptic motor and the menu bar the way it does, Christmasify needs a few things the App Store doesn't allow. You download it directly from us, and it's signed so your Mac knows where it came from.
It unlocks by itself when you buy from inside the app. Your license key is also emailed to you: click the β in your menu bar, choose Settings, then βI already have a keyβ and paste it. Lost the email? Find your license key with the email address you paid with.
Open the downloaded file, drag Christmasify into Applications, then open it from there. It updates itself when a new version comes out.
Santa gets stuck in a little brick chimney at the top of the screen instead. Same kicking, same soot.
Yes. It snows on every display and every Space, and it catches up when you plug in a monitor or change resolution.
